Successful Political Consultant Wins WPT Ladies’ Title
The World Poker Tour Ladies’ title was won by political consultant Nancy Todd Tyner in Las Vegas recently.
Runner-up Selbst took home $40,815 after she lost an arduous heads-up battle.Tyner, a WPT Boot Camp graduate, began playing poker only 18 months ago. “I’m very proud to have been able to hold my own at the table,” she said. “I’ve been a fighter all my life!”

Yes, I couldn't help but appreciate the irony of Nancy being the winner and wonder how much her profession has to do with her ability to win. Hats off to her though, it's good to see someone come up so fast.

That is an incredible feat from a woman who's been playing for less than two years. Of course, in her line of work, she must have learned the fine art of bluffing a long time ago. Hats off to Nancy!
