Online Bingo Means Big Money

Online bingo and information monitoring website BingoPort recently discovered that, per annum, UK-based online bingo players are spending a staggering £600m on online bingo tickets.

'The fact that online bingo players are purchasing bingo tickets in the realm of GBP 600 million annually is truly amazing considering the credit crunch, but not surprising considering the licensing of the online gaming industry in the UK.'

BingoPort also revealed the UK industry leaders based on profits and sheer quantity. Sun Bingo is the largest with 19% of the UK turnover, followed by Gala Bingo (16%) and Foxy Bingo (13%).

'This is the most accurate estimate to date of the size of the online bingo industry in this country,' said Logan. 'As the only company so comprehensively monitoring this data, we are able to gain a unique insight into the industry that isn't possible otherwise, especially since most online bingo operators are not public companies and are reluctant to release information about their turnover.'

It is really funny to think how many people still associate bingo with senior citizens, and not the many many gamblers of all ages who play the game for big payoffs! Bingo is so much more than a game for your Grandmum, but many still see it that way.

I cant not think of all of the people I know that enjoy playing this game and to have it online. I know where some will be spending their free time at. I have two family members that reside outside of London and both are huge fans of this already.

I really think online gaming adds a less senior citizen feel to bingo. And then again most people in the US only know how the US views it, not in the UK. I know I've always liked the odds in bingo myself.
