Online Casinos Join To Help Impoverished
Slotland.com, a popular and successful online slots and casino games provider, have long been active in helping those less fortunate in Third World countries.
Their campaign to help has raised over $100,000 in Africa. Benefitting most is the village of Juma in Malawi. Slotland’s campaign (www.help-malawi-children-charity.org) has seen the building of a new school and community centre there – basic things that are taken for granted by those in richer countries.
CasinoRankings.com, another industry leader, have recently made public a big-hearted donation to Slotland’s campaign. Such generosity from major sites makes a real difference in poorer countries.
“The school that we’ve funded will have a long lasting benefit to the entire community. It provides opportunities and will help end the cycle of poverty in Malawi,” said Martin Smith of Slotland. “We’re very proud that one of our biggest affiliates, CasinoRanking.com, was impressed enough with the positive results of our project that they’re making a very substantial donation of their own.”
“The online casino business is a high profit industry,” said Antoine Tardif of CasinoRanking.com. “We should consider ourselves lucky to have the opportunity to help others who are not as fortunate.”

I am glad that the online casinos are doing things like this. They are definitely a high profit industry as Tardif states so it's great to see them giving back to the world. I hope more casinos will join in this great cause.

Helping people is always about helping another place. By one country giving money to a less fortunate country it says "we;re doing so well we can help out other countries" without admitting to oversights in their own. I say any money that gets put towards charity is ok with me.

I am glad about what they are doing as well, gamblingfool. Hopefully they won't be the only casinos lending a helping hand. They rake in so much cash that it is nice to know that they are aware of their good position of being able to help others

Casinos and gambling is looked down on by a lot of folks out there. It's good to here about establishments that are giving back to those less fortunate. If naysayers need to find a way to justify casinos and gambling here we have two that are "taking from the rich to give to the poor".

This is a great way for a large amount of money to help the poor. Perhaps though they should consider helping those in the countries the gamblers themselves are from. There are plenty of homeless in America that could use a helping hand.
