World Series Of Poker Final Table Decided

After a gruelling week of play that saw dreams shattered, hopes crushed and hundreds of millions of dollars in chips circulating around 6,844 players, the World Series of Poker $10,000 Championship No Limit Hold ‘em Main Event has a final table.

Despite this being called the Year of the Pro, no major names feature. Mike Matusow came closest, busting out in 30th; 11-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth came 45th.

The chip leader on $26.295m is Dennis Phillips from Cottage Hills, Illinois. He has slightly under $5,000 in recorded tournament winnings in the World Series of Poker circuit events – that will be given a boost soon, however, as even a 9th place finish will net him $900,670.

I watch through the whole thing. I miss a few episodes here and there but I always make sure to watch the final round. It can get exciting and I usually end up spilling popcorn everywhere.

Very interesting. I admit, I don't watch the World Series of Poker until the final table episode airs.
