Are these ads coming out in the UK? I think people pick based on names they have heard, and a tv advert can certainly increase name-recognition. It's all about branding.

I think that a gambling ad would be big news in the UK. All told, there isn't so much exposure on TV over there, and so it would increase the strength of the brand. I'm sure it will see big increases in member numbers.

I'm not sure how well gambling ads work these days. Most people probably pick their gambling site based on ads on a gambling blog or news site or on the side of their e-mail program, not what they saw on TV. Sounds like they are delivering should people get there though.
