Foxy! Central London Due to Get Its First Legal Poker Club
Fox Poker Club, which can name Barney Boatman, Joe Beevers and Phil Laak amongst its shareholders, is launching a major recruiting drive at Poker in the Park held in Leicester Square on August 15th and 16th in a bid to attract people through its doors when it opens in 2009.
In a nutshell this means it has a licence to operate the first legal poker club in central London and it is looking to tell the poker community about it.The club is offering a months free membership with no strings attached to visitors of Poker in the Park, this offer will run throughout August and September so even if you cant make it to Poker in the Park, you can register for the free membership offer by going to www.foxpokerclub.com
Chris North, Director of Fox Club explain “Poker in the Park is the perfect venue for us, not only is it in the heart of London close to where we will be opening our club, it attracts thousands of poker players many of whom will be keen to get their first real life poker game and that is what our free membership offer is all about, we want to get online players to experience a real game in a properly regulated club which is dedicated to poker.”
In addition to its London licence Fox Club has applications for licences in Birmingham and Bournemouth and they hope these will be granted before the end of 2008.

It's about time! I hope the Fox Club gets the additional licenses, as well. Governments really need to step out of the people's business with what we choose to do with our money and time.

That sounds great! I agree with the last poster that it's my money & my time and I'll spend it as I see fit!

I like how it says the first "legal" poker club. So poker clubs have long been a part of London, huh? That would not surprise me for anywhere actually! Glad to see this one is opening. I might try to make a stop there next time I am in London!
