NFL Season Kicks Off Friday
The 89th season of the National Football League (NFL) kicks off on Friday as the New York Giants travel to Washington, DC, to take on the Redskins with the bookmakers predicting an away win.
The best odds on a Washington victory can be found at PaddyPower.com, who have ‘the hogs’ at 5/3 to emerge victorious from the NFL’s curtain raiser. However, the bookies seem to think that it will be a close game, with PaddyPower.com offering odds of 3/1 that New York will win by only a maximum of six points while SkyBet.com is offering the Giants at 4/1 to triumph by seven to twelve points. There are twelve games scheduled for Saturday, with the pick of the lot the Seattle Seahawks hosting the Buffalo Bills. Both teams are listed at odds of 10/11 to win with BetDirect.com, SkyBet.com, StanJames.com and Ladbrokes.com while 888Sport.com and BlueSq.com is offering both at 5/6. For those hoping for better odds, Betfair.com is predicting a Seattle victory at 13/19 while WBX.com is listing the Bills at 13/14.
On the flipside, last year’s beaten Super Bowl finalists, the New England Patriots, take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Massachusetts and are listed as a massive 1/20 favourite with SkyBet.com and Ladbrokes.com. Those hoping for something a little fairer can get 1/14 with WBX.com and Betfair.com while fans of the Missouri team can get them at 12/1 to emerge victorious with BetDaq.com.
Likewise, the San Diego Chargers take on the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte and are listed as the 1/5 favourite with Bet365.com, BlueSq.com, SkyBet.com and 888Sport.com. The best a fan of the North Carolina team can do is the 4/1 being offered by Ladbrokes.com or the 28/13 obtainable from Betfair.com.

I can't wait. I love football and am looking forward to something a bit less strenuous than baseball in the media. I'm looking forward to the patriots/KC Chiefs game myself.

I'm so looking forward to the football season. The Ravens play on my birthday at home and I'm stocking up and cooking as we speak. Big time at the old homestead on Sunday!

There are so many people I know that are waiting for the week to end and get things in gear here. Patience comes with age but not when its in regards to sports startups.

I rarely bet on NFL games but I do enjoy watching them. Of course, it's almost obligatory to place a bet with friends on the outcome of the SuperBowl when the time comes.

Well, they called the odds right on the Patriots vs. Chiefs game. Even when Brady was injured in the first quarter, the Pats still kicked butt. I wonder what the odds will be like the rest of the season, with Brady on the injured list.
