Event Six of Online Poker Championship Finishes
Event six of the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) concluded on Tuesday with ‘Calvin32’ taking home over $450,000 after outlasting 7,350 other competitors.
Both players would maintain their leads for 70 minutes and through over 300 hands until they faced each other heads-up for the title.As play began, ‘Solovka’ had a chip lead of 53.8 million to 19.6 million with ‘Calvin32’ suggesting a deal. However, ‘Solovka’ was not interested and the pair battled for 39 hands with the American eventually working his way into the lead with 46.2 million chips to 27.2 million by the break.
After the pause, ‘Calvin32’ again suggested a deal but the Russian declined before the two battled for another 40 hands that eventually saw ‘Solovka’ regain the lead.
The pair would battle for over two hours and 200 hands until the final hand saw ‘Calvin32’ with 60.9 million and ‘Solovka’ with 12.5 million. The Russian then raised all in from the small blind/button and ‘Calvin32’ called. ‘Solovka’ turned over the king of diamonds and jack of clubs with ‘Calvin32’ holding a queen of clubs and nine of hearts. The flop was six of diamonds, six of clubs and nine of diamonds and put ‘Calvin32’ into the lead. The turn was the revealed as an eight of spades while the river was the five of spades.
‘Solovka’ took home $306,169 for his second place finish while ‘Calvin32’ won $452,086. Third place went to ‘Roland_NL’ for $205,828 while ‘Adonislee’ took $169,073 for a fourth.

I think he very well cleared the table of all those he went up against. I don't know if I could manage 200 hands for that long, talk about the pro's doing their thing.

So how does an American get around the online gambling ban in the US to actually receive the close to half a million dollars that he won?

Yeah, go Calvin! Nice to see an American win some of these bigger tournaments especially given the online gambling ban here. We still manage to get some top notch poker players despite the ban.
