Sky Poker UK Tour Heads To Scotland
Poker fever is set to hit Scotland when the third leg of Sky Poker UK Tour (SPUKT) comes to Edinburgh on Saturday 31st January 2009.The tour has already seen huge success with its Nottingham and Birmingham legs selling out fast (the latter in record time, a month prior to the event) and the same level of interest is expected for the Scottish leg.Leg three of the SPUKT will be held at the Gala Casino in Maybury, Edinburgh.
130 players will compete for the £5000 guaranteed prize pool. As with the previous legs, players can qualify from as little as £2.65 via Sky Poker online satellites only, which will start running daily from Thursday October 9, 2008 at www.skypoker.com. Semi Finals will run every day at 8:30pm.In addition to the £5000 GTD prize pool, Sky Poker are also giving the top 10 players a seat into the £25,000 GTD SPUKT Grand Finale, worth £220 each, which will be held at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham in June 2009. The event provides the opportunity for players to also meet and play some of their favourite Sky Poker personalities too!

Sky Poker UK Tour has had a terrific year and is definitely on the rise in the poker tournament circuit. While it's not the biggest prize pool on the circuit, it is helping to increase the popularity of poker in that part of the world.

I believe Sky Poker UK Tour has a great chance of becoming an important tournament in a few years. Poker popularity is on the rise all over the world and more people are becoming involved.
