Premier League boss angered with betting on youth football

The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that gamblers should not be able to bet on youth football, and hopes that a recent suspension on domestic football is upheld. The Frenchman is increasingly worried by the latest development in the grass roots sector of the game with SBObet, sponsors of West Ham and Cardiff City, and, 188bet, shirt sponsor of Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic continuing to introduce markets on the FIFA Under 17 - World Cup. The Frenchman, who has won three league titles with Arsenal, believes that a ban should be upheld on youth football worldwide because Wenger believes the youngsters are more easily influenced. Wenger said: "I don’t agree with it because the corruption potential in youth football is higher. I am old fashioned and in general suspicious of this kind of thing."
