Bingo: Increasing your chances of winning

Win at bingo

Winning a game of BINGO is quite easy in that you buy a card and hope that the numbers drawn at random by the caller match the number on your card or cards. There is little wrong with this strategy as it is used by many players around the world in BINGO halls and online at BINGO sites.

However as BINGO is a game of odds, there are ways of increasing your odds of winning a game and also the amount of prize money.

The first way to increase your odds of winning is to buy more cards. Statistically each of your cards is a chance to win so if you have two, three or more cards then you have increased your chances your chances proportionately. Although this looks to be an easy way to increase your odds of winning be aware that in some cases you may be wasting your money due to the amount of players involved in a particular game.

For example thousands of players may play in a one off game with high prize money, whilst only a hundred will play for a more modest prize. Obviously the odds are better for winning the less paying game. This does not mean that a player should n’t play in high prize money games; rather it may be more prudent to play these games with smaller numbers of cards and leave playing higher numbers of cards to the games where fewer players will be competing.

The time that you play may also have an affect on you winning and how much you win. Early morning and late at night on internet sites are often the times when fewer players are involved in games although the increase in the chances of winning are tempered with the fact that the prize money is slightly lesser for games played at these times. BINGO halls also have afternoon sessions which are less well attended, but still present the opportunity to increase your chances of winning a no doubt smaller pot of money than prime time evening games.

Together with the technique of increasing the chances of winning through buying extra cards, some players will also try to buy the amount of cards to cover most if not all the numbers , meaning that the player knows that they should be marking off a number each time a number is called. In the UK version of the game this means that players would buy six cards of 15 numbers at a time to cover 1-90. In the US version of the game three cards are bought by players with the hope that they cover 72 unique numbers on them.

Although theoretically this should give no advantage, almost all BINGO players will state categorically that it does give an advantage.

Finally the one and only 100% way which I have seen a person to constantly make profit from BINGO is, for people to buy their own BINGO hall or website!
