Top 10 Tips For First Time Gamblers
How to be a winner.
As the gambling industry continues to grow, we are seeing more and more first time gamblers come to the industry with little or no knowledge about how it works, what they can do and how to enjoy themselves. While there are many so called professional gamblers, the average member of the public is just after a little fun, with a dream of that one big win.
We hereby list our top 10 tips for the first time gambler :-
1. Never bet with more money that you can afford to lose - this is a complete recipe for disaster. Put aside what you can afford to spend without going short, and once that it finished, just walk away.
2. Check out your markets before actually placing your bet, and find out where you can get information for the future. If you know how the market works and what signs to look for, it can have a major impact upon your potential returns in the future.
3. Relax and chill out while you are placing your bet - there will be plenty of time for the excitement if your bet comes in and you need to collect that large return!
4. Never try and chase your loses because the chances are that you will just make things worse. You should never gamble when you are under stress as you will not be able to think straight and may go for gambles you would not normally even consider.
5. Find a sport which you naturally enjoy and try gambling on that - at least you will have same general knowledge of the market.
6. Always shop around for the best odds as they can vary wildly from bookie to bookie - lets not make the UK book makers any richer!
7. Do not believe all of the tips which you will hear when you mix in gambling circles. Everyone seems to have a tip for every horse in every race, but they cant all be right!
8. Listen to the markets as they will prompt you where to look, i.e. if you see heavy last minute gambling on a particular participant, take note because this is the time that informed punters will place their bets - right at the off.
9. If you have some good wins, you need to learn to walk away. There will be many times in the future when you are down on your luck, and its always nice to walk home with a fist full of notes.
10. Take up as many of the betting free offers as you can, the £10 free bets, the Free spread bet - take up them all and treat them like a normal bet, not a novelty. You never know, you may win.!
There are many facts, figures and etiquettes to take in when a new gambler joins the market. They need to be held by the hand and assisted wherever possible, so that they may enjoy their flutter. Walking into a book maker or logging in on line can be scary for those not used to computer systems, but just a little research and investigation will soon give you the start you need.
