Craps' Lucky Seven
With the arrival of one of the worlds favourite table games to Gambling.com, Larry Edell tells why online craps could offer you an advantage otherwise not available in the high pressure situation of a land-based casino.
If you ever wanted to play craps in a casino but found it too complicated or intimidating, you should give online craps a try. In fact, here are seven reasons why online craps just might be better for you than casino craps:
- You can easily learn how to play craps online
- You get a lot of variety and convenience
- You can get match play and free bonuses
- You get better playing conditions
- You can always play online craps for free
- You can get free internet resources
- You can get free craps strategies
Craps Lucky Seven
1. You can easily learn how to play craps online.
Once online, look for a help program or tutorial to teach you what the best bets are. As you probably know, the game of craps is played with two identical dice. The outcomes of the dice are related to the number seven. For example, if you bet on the six, which can roll five times in 36 typical rolls, you relate it to the seven, which can roll six times in 36 typical rolls. So, the odds of the six rolling before the seven are 5:6. Ideally if you bet $10 on the six youll win $12 if it rolls before the seven.
Now, one of the most popular bets is the pass line wager and, if you are the only player, you may need to make a pass line bet before you make any other bet, like a place bet or a field bet. The advantage of the pass line bet is that you can add odds, and these odds have no casino advantage, so they are commonly referred to as free odds. For example, if you make a $10 pass line bet and the point is five, you can add at least $20 in odds to your bet. If the five rolls before the seven, youll win $10 for the pass line bet plus $30 (at 3:2 odds) for the free odds for a total of $40.
2. You get a lot of variety and convenience.
There are many different craps games online. For example, some have 3D representations, music, themes, and customizable dealers. Some offer multi-player games and the ability to choose your own characters. In a casino youre stuck with the same tables, the same dealers, the same rules and sometimes, the same cigarette or cigar smoke. Online, youre in the privacy of your own comfortable home, you can play 24 hours a day, and you can choose what kind of casino or craps table you want to play at. You dont have to drive or fly anywhere, pay for a hotel or meals, wear fancy clothes, or worry about what the dealers or other players will think of you.
3. You can get match play and free bonuses.
Many online casinos will offer you free match play or bonuses just to sign up. Youll never find a land based casino that will give you $50 just for walking in the door. And once you start playing online, youll receive promotions and special offers by email. There are many more online casinos than land-based ones, so they will fight harder to get your business and theyll offer you more free stuff once you become their customer to keep you.
4. You get better playing conditions.
There are many online casino review sites and player comment sites. Casinos need customers to stay in business and most will treat their players fairly. In fact, most go out of their way to fix technical glitches or player disputes. Everything is secure online, and you dont have to worry about pickpockets, crooks, chip thieves or security guards. Online casinos know that even one complaint can lose hundreds of customers, and they certainly dont want that complaint to be yours.
5. You can always play online craps for free.
Online casinos let you play for free. You can learn how to play craps, and what the best systems are. Why should you bet with your own money if you are still a beginner? Play for free until you are comfortable with the game and have developed some methods that will work for you. You can test the different games offered by many casinos until you find the one that is the best for you.
6. You can get free internet resources.
You can get free online craps newsletters, lists of casinos offering match play or sign up bonuses, free casinos, and casinos requiring no deposits. Just go to the Gambling.com search engine, put these terms in, and check out the results. You can also search for craps newsletters, multi-player craps games, craps forums, casino player comment sites, online casino reviews, and anything else that comes to mind. Gambling.com is full of casino treasures, and you should make sure that you get your share.
7. You can get free craps strategies.
Gambling.com can also give you craps strategies, craps systems and craps methods. Here are two free systems you can try the next time you are online:
The first is called 'Inside Places' and requires that you first wait for the seven to be rolled and a point be established. You then place $5 each on the five and nine and, $6 each on the six and eight. You will leave this up for the next two rolls only, and then take everything down, win or lose. Youll win $7 if one of the next two rolls were 5, 6, 8 or 9, and $14 if both rolls were one of these numbers.
The second system is even simpler. You just wait until the point is established and then place $12 each on the six and eight. If one of them hits you take both bets down. You also take both bets down if five rolls go by without a hit. On the place six and eight, youll win $14 on a $12 bet at 7:6 odds. The six and eight together may roll ten times in 36 sample rolls compared to the seven rolling only six times so the chances of you winning $14 with this method are pretty good.
Online craps can be more profitable, pleasurable, and less intimidating than playing in a casino. The free bonuses, free strategies, free newsletters and forums, combined with the ease and comfort of playing in your own home, make online craps and you the winner. Why not log on to Gambling.com right now and give it a try?
