Betdaq Launches New Online Poker Service
€100,000 Poker Bonanza Tournament
Betdaq, the betting exchange owned by Irish businessman Dermot Desmond, has launched its new online poker site. As part of their launch, Betdaq has announced the €100,000 Betdaq Poker Bonanza, with cash prizes for all players. Open only to Betdaq customers, the freeroll tournament will take place on September 7th 2008. With a buy-in of 2,500 VIP points, for which daily and weekly qualifiers are running for as little as 1 VIP point, the online tournament will be paused when there are nine players left. These players will keep their remaining chips and play out the final table at a live event at The Sporting Emporium Club, Dublin on September 20th. All finalists will receive €1,000 towards expenses. From the €100,000 prize-pool, €75,000 will be kept for the final table while the remaining €25,000 will be divided out to the rest of the field. CEO Brian O'Sullivan says “We have been studying the options for the addition of a Poker Room product to our portfolio for some time.
