Turn $0 Into Millions Thanks To Pokerstars
Satellite qualifiers currently form a major part of many large poker tournament fields ever since Chris Moneymaker qualified for and won the World Series of Poker for $40.
From this week until June 27 PokerStars will be running a series of online freeroll tournaments, events with no entry fee (neither cash nor player points) that nevertheless will provide nearly 100 seats to the 2008 $10,000 Main Event in July. The Main Event package includes $2,500 spending money, accommodation included and the $10,000 for the WSOP Main Event.
To win, players will have to triumph in the hourly Round One tournaments, with the top 50 players in each tournament entered into Saturday’s weekly final.
“Nothing is better than the World Series of Poker,” says PokerStars pro and 2005 champion Joe Hachem. “Except getting there for free.”

I love that the tournament is not just for professional players, but also for people who are good, but don't have time or the care to take it professional.
