As part of her efforts, the Kahnawake-licensed site stated that players could expect a host of new promotions and leaderboard competitions to solidify its position as the most exciting and lucrative place for Texas Hold’em fans.

''Annie Duke has a proven track record of not only playing the game but also knowing exactly what online poker players want to see in a tournament schedule,' said George MacLean, Spokesperson for UltimateBet.com.

'We're confident that her unparalleled insight will significantly enhance our poker offering and strengthen our online poker community.'

The new schedule will be launched on Monday and include new Sniper tournaments with large guarantees along with $1.2 million in weekly guarantees. There will also be Nightly Deep Stack tournaments featuring longer blind levels with players starting with 5,000 chips for tournaments off buy-ins for $109 and above or 3,000 starting chips for under $109.

'I opted to accept the poker room consultant position after spending time with UltimateBet.com's new senior management team,' said Duke.

'I am extraordinarily pleased with their commitment to wanting what's best for the poker player and I have a renewed sense of enthusiasm in the future of UltimateBet.com.'

The schedule will also see new Short, Super Short and Mega Short Stack satellites allowing online poker players to qualify in new ways up to 30 minutes before an event.

In addition, there will be a $200,000 guaranteed tournament every Sunday and new sit and go satellites for all major events alongside an innovative one-dollar Turbo Rebuy $5,000 guaranteed competition with seats up for grabs for as little as six cents.

A great move on the part of UltimateBet.com. It will be good for them to bring in such an experienced name in poker. Not only are they adding a her but a new schedule. Sounds like a win-win situation.
