Common Slot Myths

Everybody who loves to play slots seems to have a different set of myths about slot machines. Here are some of them, and it is up to you whether you believe in them or not.

The Location of the Machine

There is a long standing myth that loose machines are placed a the ends of aisles. Somehow this theory is related to people thinking that more people play the machines in the middle so they decide to play the ones in the ends hoping for a bigger payout.

A Machine is Hot

Every machine has a pre-programmed payback strategy. A machine is still often viewed as hot or cold by anxious slot machine players and will make decisions to which machines they will play accordingly. If the winning combination is spun when you press that one button, then good for you, otherwise, just assume that the machine is still going to treat you the same as any other machine.

Coin Temperature

Some players believe that if the coins are warmer when they come out of the machine, then the machine happens to be ¡®hotter¡¯. The machine does tend to warm things up with the coins, but to assume they improve your chances of winning the jackpot does not help all that much.

Pulling the Handle or Pushing the Button

Some older players feel that they have won more in the past with the pulling handle type of machines. Where as some other players will believe that the button pushing machines are better. Which ever one you play is up to you.

The Player¡¯s Timing

Everybody seems to believe that if they had sat down at the machine at the right time they would have received the jackpot and not the player after or before. Best to just sit down, have your session and then leave.

These are all myths, so the ones you believe are true will have one extra ounce of popularity in them.
