Easy On The Bragging

Everybody loves to win. Winning is why we like to gamble, there is now other feeling that replaces that awesome winning feeling. Winning also brings about lots of emotions and feels that we are being rewarded for our efforts. But have we also though about, how much winning is actually enough? How many victories constitute a high enough win rate per hour or weekend? Also, how do we treat our wins? Do we call all of our friends and enemies to shout out to them how well we have ended up or do we go straight back to our gambling logs to pour over why we run and whether the win is result of good decisions or extraordinary luck.

The best way to take a win is to actually leave the ego under the bed sheets at home. An ego gets in the way of a well calculated win and causes us to think that we somehow have it made or the win will always come. Self inflation will always lead to self deflation. That is just how things work out.

Never go about resting on your laurels. Every new bet you make, every new game is a new decision, and requires a winning routine to be applied again for it to work. Always assume that the cards and bets are neutral and be humble on whether you will win or not. Many gamblers seem to think that just because they have won in the past that they have a natural edge. This is more an inner projection of over confidence , rather it is more correct to think that one is more humble and realistic about the odds of winning. Over confidence will lead to a belief that the same will occur and irritation if nothing seems to be happening. Always look to the probabilities, experience and a realistic expectation as an edge.
