Poker Set To Soar Through Asia
Although there are already household Asian poker names like Johnny Chan, Chau Giang and Jerry Yang that are well known, these names are all Chinese who are based in North America and who learnt the game of texas holdem in North America. Many of them have a base in no limit five card stud but have become famous because of the North American game.

Everybody knows that ¡®Rounders¡¯ the movie featuring Matt Damon helped introduce the game to the mass market in North America, now Hong Kong cinema is gearing for it¡¯s release of the ¡®Poker King¡¯ to the local market. In the movie will feature local stars like Louis Koo, Sean Lau Ching Wan and Stephy to help attract the local market. The movie will be shot with the backdrop of the upcoming Asian Poker Tour in Macau to be held this August.

They have been played for many years so it will be hard to break the tradition, but many players are already doing all the baby steps necessary to start playing the game.
