Like the title says, I'm going during spring break. I've never been to a casino, only played online which is very different. So, any tips for me? What games to play, what to avoid. I like to play poker online, but I don't think I'm good enough to play at a table and have to bluff with my whole body! I like slots and roulette online. Never played black jack before.

Hi Annie, I think you should just stick to roulette, it's easy! I went to Vegas for the first time a couple of years ago and did pretty well on the roulette tables. Don't be afraid to ask for help as the casinos want you to bet!! I even learnt how to play craps and that looked REALLY complicated when I first got there!

Nice Annie, I hope you enjoy it there. Keep a good eye on how much money you are spending though, your pockets can empty ever so very fast.

Concerning the games, I would say choose something that is social and fun. As mentioned, roulette can be a lot of fun.

And about poker, you never know until you actually tried it. So if you want to, go ahead and give it a shot. But you should remember to believe that you are not a mediocre player but a good player like everyone else at the table.

You'll have so much fun! My first time to Vegas is one of my fondest memories.

Yes, I agree with everyone else. Go for the social games. If you like roulette online, play it at the casinos, it's a lot more fun in person. If you play a low bid poker table, don't worry! They're not all high-rollers there, you'll be fine.

Oh, and only take a bit of money with you each day, and don't draw more! If you lose all your money that day, you are done playing.

Good luck dear!

I haven't been to Vegas either, but I am planning to go as soon as I get a holiday. Reading all the remarks is tempting me.

I hope that you enjoy your trip to Vegas though, Annie. And remember, play for fun, not to win.

The place is just full of buzz and excitement. Have a great time.

I just want to stress the point made by GlitzyGranny. Ensure to plan how much you're gonna play for the day. You may be tempted to try and recover losses by drawing more--DON'T!

Are you going with someone? I don't want to be a party pooper, but I always worry about young women going to Vegas alone (I assume you are young, forgive me if I'm wrong... it just sounded like you were college age). Be careful, know your limits, and don't invite strangers up to your room. There, I feel better having said that.

Thanks everyone!

I am a college student, and I am going with several friends (females). We will be careful and always have a buddy.
