| I find I win more than I lose because I deliberately change my style every so often. Most people do not do this and can be very easy to read. If you switch off your style every few hands, then others won't be able to get a bead on you.

| I agree with you on that strategy. I have always strived to be completely unpredictable while playing poker. I pay very close attention to keeping a straight face and not giving any signs of excitement, etc.

| I have a friend who is perfect at this. He's unpredictable anyway, and even more so in a social setting like a poker game. You'd have to be insane yourself to find any sort of pattern to it. And then he'd be liable to do the opposite, just to confuse you.

| Seems like thats a good overall tip for any game you are playing on. I know some that try this and are just really bad at pulling it off, so if you friend has any tips pass them along.

| Common sense says you have to mix it up. If you are too conservative you'll get bluffed out of the game. If you play to aggressive your bluffs will always get called. I used to beat up on an old computer program way back when because you could tell what it had by how it was playing.

| Predictability is what tends to knock players out. People will learn to read what you do with each hand. I, myself like to be totally unreal. I've had people mutter things like "why would she do that, it's not how to bet". I don't follow the "rules" so I tend to do well. No one knows what I'll do.

| Being unpredictable is all well and good but some people seem to think that means being stupid. I wouldn't bluff a hand of complete total garbage. I've seen people do that and go home early.

I totally agree with your statement. Keeping your style different every now and then will keep your self on unnoticeable to your playmates thus they still do not have the idea of what you have and what you haven't.
