How often do you split on face cards?
I almost never do. I like the near sure thing and don't push it.

Not very often at all but I will do if I feel that I have to. I am a fairly conservative player normally but if I get a little antsy after a few loses, then I become significantly more aggressive.

I'm a risk taker, but not this much of a risk taker - no matter how broke I am.

That's unless I know how to count cards - which I don't of course.

So doing this is out of the question.

If the dealer is showing lower than a 7, I will split my face cars every time. If the dealer is showing a 10 or face, I will never split.

I don't tend to split much myself but if the dealer has a low card I might be tempted. Something like a 5 or under. I'm still less likely to split though as I don't do it enough to remember its an option all the time.

I might split on a five or lower myself. I find a seven is too high for me. Got myself burned that way a few too many times and really thought it was my own doing.

I never split face cards. Having a 20 is almost a guaranteed win and I don't want to throw that away! Even if the dealer has a bad card up you could end up getting 2 bad hands instead of one good hand.

Yeah, I never split on face cards either. That's how my dad taught me to play, and he's never steered me wrong (so far as gambling goes! ). Too risky when it's my money.
