How do you know when it is right to take insurance? I have heard some people say that you should never take insurance, but I just hate to lose when I've got BlackJack and so does the dealer!

I've always wondered that myself. I don't ever take insurance as I figure the odds are in my favor as far as a blackjack goes.

I've never done this before either. If you can't have a bit of confidence when you have blackjack then I guess there isn't any time ever that you could have. So I never thought to.

I'm not a fan of insurance myself. The most I can lose is what I bet and I can lose that in pretty much any hand so why bother spending more money just in case the dealer has 21 and losing that money?

I think the idea of insurance ruins the idea of betting and the fun of playing the game. If you are betting you know you either win or lose, adding all these other loopholes makes it overly complicated to me.

I don't know for me the concept of insurance while I'm gambling runs counter to the spirit of the whole thing. I also kind of view it as just another gimmick the casinos use to harvest my money.

I always take it myself, and it works out about as many times as it doesn't, so I guess it all comes out in the wash. Just depends on how you're feeling, I guess...

I don't get insurance simply because the majority of the time or at least from my experiences it always ends up being a waste of money. I wouldn't recommend it but... to each its own!
