Do you ever get a bunch of friends together and have a friendly game of blackjack?

We had a party a bit ago and everyone brought their quarters.  We all played blackjack!  It was fun!

Do you  ever do anything like that?

We used to alot, but life seems to get in the way more and more these days. People have kids, work overtime, have sick parents, etc. we do try for once a month though. We normally play with the big bucket of change we keep just for that purpose.

That is a good idea to keep a big bucket of change to use.

We play every Thanksgiving Eve.  We have a huge party and whoever wants to play, does.  There are always alot of spectators.

Blackjack isn't something I play casually with friends. When we're in the mood for casual gambling, it's usually poker.

We aren't all that great at poker, but I can see why it would be more of a friendly game with friends.

Because the dealer has such an advantage, how do manage that. Do you have just one person be the dealer and pay from "the bucket"? Or do you have everyone take a turn being the dealer so they can have the advantage?

We have never done that, its usually poker around here. But we will definately give it a whirl sometime! Sounds like fun. I would think that rotating the dealer would be the most fair. Rotate after so many rounds or rotate nights if its a regular get-together.
