| So I can see where the game could be mangeable vs the house with a single deck deal.. but what happens with the multi deck games.. the last time I played a multi deck dealer I got my hat handed to me (and gave the dealer my last $20.00 She was gonna get it anyway..). Is there a way to stay competitive?

| I don't even try to count the cards so it really doesn't matter to me how many decks are being played. I have notice while playing single deck games that the dealer will often just shuffle after each hand, which eliminates any advantage you may get by playing a single deck game.

| Well you know the whole purpose of multiple deck blackjack is to increase the odds for the house. They want your money and will do what they can to get it-so more decks the better.

| I've personally never found much of a difference between single and multiple deck games. The odds may fall more in favor of the house but you also have more of every card available to you for making a hand.

| This is true but the odds of receiving one in a deal is also lower than the same card in a single deck game. Ultimately blackjack isn't much for winning, so I wouldn't worry myself too much about the differences.

| I don't think I've ever played single deck at a casino. Every time I've sat down at a blackjack table the dealer had a shoe with multiple decks in it. Is it normal to have a single deck game?

| I've seen both. Usually though the single deck game is announced with a sign like it's something special.. Last year I went to Reno for the first time and encountered a of Blackjack that went to 22. A tie actually went to the house and the win payout was slightly less than 1.5. I lost like $80.00 in 5 minutes.
