I don't know that it requires sweat or extreme physical activity.

Fishing is a sport and though some fishing is strenuous the catching of small lake fish hardly requires a world weight lifting champion.

Hunting is a sport and some hunters walk to a blind, sit and wait for the game and then shoot the game, the walking is exercise but not one that usually requires hours of training in a gym.

I guess the definition of a "sport" really depends on the local or international acceptance of the activity as a "sport".

RE: Define Sport!

Sports are played in the Olympics. Everything else is just a game. Thats how I've always defined it and it works pretty well since the Olympics are an international choice not just national or local. Anything that includes running, jumping, throwing. It has to be physically exerting. Pool is not a sport, neither is darts. Those are hobbies. Bowling is iffy, I think I would consider it more a hobby than a sport.

Define Sport!

I recently got in to a rather heated debate with a few people about what made a "sport"
I am of the opinion that competition for fun is "sport".
Some people though say "ice skating is no sport!" or "pool is not a sport"
So what defines sport?
