It requires some serious acting skill, though. Having the money available to get yourself a round or two into the bidding with a bad hand so people can see you "nervous" on a bluff can be expensive. And if it doesn't happen unless there's a cheap hand people might not even bother paying attention.

So here I am rubbing my gaotee right before I raise you 200.00. next round my bluff fails.. I do that twice more and everyone is dialed in on the goatee. Next time though I'm holding a straight flush to you're two pair you know is gonna beat me.

Trick is can you come up with a fresh one every time?

RE: Playing cards with sunglasses

I don't think I'd feel comfortable wearing them myself during a game. For some reason, it doesn't come across too sportsmanlike. The eyes are not the only tell and the better players have been know to display all kinds of false signals.

RE: Playing cards with sunglasses

I think you eyes dilating are just one of the tells you might have. It makes you look a bit sneaky to me.

I do agree, some people can read others by their eyes. I don't have that gift.

Playing cards with sunglasses

I am a believer in playing poker at a live game with sunglasses. I've read some where that your eyes can give you away because of how they dilate. I for one won't take the chance if that is in fact the case. Anyone else wear sunglasses?

Smitty
