It is a way to say a simple 'thank you' and leaves me feeling good about it.

RE: Tipping the Waitress

She is still doing her job so why should she not be tipped? It was not her choice to tell you the drinks are on the house someone else did.

RE: Tipping the Waitress

I tip approximately $1 per drink and have approximately five non-alcoholic drinks per night. If I have a mixed drink, I will tip $2 per drink, three if sevice is good.

RE: Tipping the Waitress

I too tip often, but being in the UK its a less common practise. Waiting staff still don't get paid great, but service is considered to be included when you buy stuff here. Now on complimentary drinks that would be different as there is not a bill to add service to, so yes I would tip.

RE: Tipping the Waitress

I do pay them around 10$ if i found their service really appreciable & worth to give the tip and they are not responsible for our free or paid drinks

_____________________________________
Los Angeles Online Florist low rate loans pisos vilafranca del penedes download ringback tones

RE: Tipping the Waitress

Now I am wondering if I am a low tipper. I tend to tip two or three dollars each time, sometimes a little more if I order something fancy. I figure what the drink would cost, roughly, if I was paying for it, and tip 15% about on that.

RE: Tipping the Waitress

I try to tip them every time I get a drink at around $3-4 each time. If I'm doing well and winning I may give them $10 or $20. I've found that if you tip each time then they remember you and will take care of you better.

Smitty

RE: Tipping the Waitress

Unless the waiters/waitresses treat me as if they have had a very bad day, I always give them a moderate tip. I think their job is hard enough and the least I can do is say thanks in a nice way.

RE: Tipping the Waitress

Just b/c your drink is free doesnt mean that waitress or waiter are working for free. Yes I always tip its a good note to leave on in case I come back around when my drink isnt free, I still get awesome service.

RE: Tipping the Waitress

Unless the service is awful I tip the waitress every time she brings a drink. The waitresses are usually only paid minimum wage and they really depend on tips.

RE: Tipping the Waitress

I think its a matter of personal opinion. I personally tip depending on how friendly the waitress or waiter is. If it is free drinks I will just give five or ten dollars, if I paid then I will tip between 10 to 20 percent.

Tipping the Waitress

When gambling, he drinks are free.....so do you tip the waitress? If so, how much? Does it depend on her service or friendliness?

What factors help you determine how much to tip?
