Real or Eletronic

I am not sure if all the casinos have this setup or not but I remember one place out west did, and I am thinking its one on an Indian Res. They spilt the rooms between real tables and those that are ran electronic only (so you are always playing against the machine, and the machine also deals).

Does anyone remember going into a small pub/bar type here in the states before they really cracked down on places have small slot machines? I know this one place that is still around but the owner was fined when they caught his mini machine.

With this I'm not really talking about Texas Hold'em but the other table games that you find throughout the casino. It could be a card based game or something like craps or roulette. I like to play Pai Gow poker. It is a lot of fun and easy to learn.

Years ago I know a couple of fellows who would make their gal-pals dress a certain way, meant to distract other players at the small stakes gaming tables.

It seemed pretty stupid to me, like these guys had watched to many movies and thought the tactic really worked.

I don't think it worked for them, but have you ever been playing at a table and there was someone or something that you could not totally shut out of your mind? Did that distraction lead you to make errors?

What do you avoid when playing in the brick and mortar casinos. Online there are less things to keep your eye on so your paying attention more to the game. Also thinking about this, sometimes there are certain games you might avoid what are they and why.

My friends have a very negative view of bingo. They have some not too nice things to say about the game but generally it boils down to them saying it's a game for old ladies (and I don't mean ANY offence to any seniors, and in particular the senior ladies, if any, in this forum).

My folks told me that years ago (20 or so) that the casinos actually had solitaire that you could play. They would charge you $52 for the deck and you get $5 for ever card that you put up top (A,2,3,4, etc.). I was wondering if anyone else heard of this and if anyone has seen it recently.

I just don't get it. I see a lot of people playing roulette but it has never appealed to me. It is very difficult to win any decent money unless you get lucky and have your number hit. Just betting red or black doesn't really make you that good of money.

Do you have a strategy you use for the slots?

A friend told me a while back that she wins by doing the following:

Bet 6 times on 1 credit.

Bet 6 times on 2 credits.

Bet 6 times on 3 credits.

If at any time during this cycle you hit, stay on that number of credits. She swears they are set to hit only on one level at at time. I tried this in the casino two weekends in a row and one $100 both nights. Next time I went I lost $100, so I haven't been back yet. But, hey I'm still up some cash!

Internet Roulette Strategy

I've read on a few websites that if you play roulette on a series of numbers, and you place your chips on the three series of numbers (low, mid, high) that you can figure out which set will come up based on writing it down and keeping track. (For example, if numbers in the "high" category don't appear for five consecutive spins, you should bet on that spot.) Has anybody tried this? Does it work?

I have been playing video poker and blackjack from my computer for years.

When I play for just for enjoyment without actually spending any cash, I ALWAYS come out the winner. I have had nights that I show hundreds of dollars in profit.

When I change over to the sites money games and follow the same rules of betting I almost always loose.

I wonder if the non-cash sites have a different program that favors the user rather than the house or is it that I just don't play the same and don't realize it?

I really find roulette to be easy. Why?

Well there still is a risk and all, but if you bet on the black or red, and / or evens or odds, you have a good chance at winning something.

Dice setting looking for an edge

I've heard tell that almost all the big names set the dice in their hand the same way and try to roll with the same motion every time. I've been doing this since I was a kid and think it makes a difference especially if it is just a straight roll. On a straight roll I can almost eliminate two numbers so my odds are closer to one in four instead of one in six. Used to really cheese my parents off during family time games. They went so far as to get the poppomatic dice popper out to try and make it fair. I never told them I spent hours playing with that thing and could tip the bubble just right and get the number I wanted better than fifty percent of the time. I usually creamed everyone including my Dad who gave me many a lecture on being too competitive.
