Don't overdo the liquids, you'll just have to use the washroom. Don't scrimp either, or on food. If you're hungry or thirsty, you'll lose valuable concentration. Also, don't go angry. If you just had a fight, make up before you go. Then you won't be reliving the argument while you're trying to play.

Playing blackjack in a tournament is sometimes very different than when you are playing hand by hand. Not only do you have to beat the dealer, but you need to beat the other players. How does that change your betting? I know I will hit on a soft seventeen if it is late in the tournament and I need to catch up. What do you do different in a tournament?

To last the full length of a tournament you need to make the chips or money that you have last for that period of time. So how do you decide to fold on a hand, or other wise decide that a particular round is not working for you and so get out to minimise losses?

Tournaments for Poker

Personally the only tournament play that really interests me is poker. I play online and the main thing I have realized is that it is a lot different than cash games.

In tournaments though, I tend to be more relaxed as I can only potentially loose a certain amount of money (the buy-in), and therefore play a lot more than I should. Maybe thats a reason why I often loose....

How about everyone else?

I'm up to 2350 Ludos, my highest number ever! I don't think my luck is ever going to run out at this rate! How many Ludos do you guys have at the moment and what's the most you've ever had?
