I try to get on a machine and stay on it. When I am up over $50 more than I put in, I usually cashout. Sometimes I move to another machine, other times I take the money and run.

RE: Change often?

I have a general rule of thumb. I usually play the nickel slots and if I put in $10 to $15 and don't win anything at all by the time it is gone I get up and move. I guess I just think that if it is going to hit anything at all it should do it within that number of spins. I have put in $10 before and never even gotten a nickel back.

RE: Change often?

I'll change if I lose 10% of what I started with. Skip that slot. There's hundreds more that can take my money! I want to see what other games are out there and not spend it all in one place. I did however stay on one slot all morning trying to hit the jackpot and that did not work. I had to put lunch on my credit card. Boo.

RE: Change often?

I myself like to find a machine and park. I usually take $40 and play the penny slots. Don't get me wrong, winning is a lot better than losing but I play primarily to get out of the house for a few hours.

RE: Change often?

I also do not see the point in changing locations. However experience must tell almost any other that it will come up a winner. But if you play any decent amount of time you know that it isn't so in practise. For that reason I believe it is perfectly reasonable to leave when you win.

RE: Change often?

I just sit at one slot throughout the entire time that I am playing slots. I don't play slots a whole lot, but when I do I usually just stay at the same one for a while.

RE: Change often?

I used to change machine when I feel unlucky until I found one that has a good aura. :) I use to follow my simple feelings.

RE: Change often?

I always wonder if that really helps at all though. I mean, just because somebody has been losing there doesn't mean that the chances are that much greater of you winning there.

RE: Change often?

I play one slot machine until I am through playing. After about 2 or 3 turns if I don't win I just switch.
