The speeds of net connections is getting better, to the point that you pretty much could take a photo and have it sent long before security can get you out of there.

So I wouldn't be surprised to see bans on phones, or phone checks at some point in the future.

RE: Cell phones and personal cameras

Tables placements seems pretty normal to me, some places arrange things a certain way to horde players into a selective area (to spend more there). :P

RE: Cell phones and personal cameras

I would think either way it's a no no because you never really know what the person could be doing with it, even though it looks like they're just taking a picture of you.

They could always be taking a picture / video of you to learn how to take advantage of your moves too.

RE: Cell phones and personal cameras

I remember trying to take a picture of one of the games I was playing to show my family. If you have picture messaging, and zoom, you can have a picture of your hand sent to someone, and then they can run the numbers for you to tell you what to do next.

RE: Cell phones and personal cameras

The casino in my area has a no flash photography but nothing about cell phones. They cite security and privacy concerns. If caught, the security can escort you out.

RE: Cell phones and personal cameras

I didn't have a clue about the cameras, so googled it anyway...the opinion is it's a no-no, but only if you get caught. So cameras without a flash are not easily found out. (i.e. on a cell phone?)
I don't get away with stuff like that, so I'm not even going to try.

Cell phones and personal cameras

What is the definitive word?
