When people think of Las Vegas, they usually think of some giant playground for adults...which it actually can be to a large extent. What many fail to notice however, is just how much you can find for kids to do there as well! Las Vegas has definitely come a long way.

RE: Kids in Vegas

My biggest hangup would be what to do with them when I wanted to gamble and do adult shows. I'm a little protective of who takes care of my kids and wouldn't trust any in-hotel child minding services. I would have to bring my own sitter.

RE: Kids in Vegas

I am sure many kids would love to take a tour in Chocolate Factory. That is good for those parents that are a big fan of Vegas because they can now got to Vegas gambling while there are having a tour. :)

RE: Kids in Vegas

A chocolate factory? Forget gambling, bring on the chocolate. Sounds like a fun time to me. :)<br>Although you could always gamble with chocolate coins instead of real chips....

RE: Kids in Vegas

I've never understood why people thought it was so off limits for kids there.. obviously they can't gamble, but there is a lot of other stuff to do. Even 20 years ago, when my kids were young, we'd take them along with us and see shows and attractions. Of course my kids just loved staying in hotels and swimming in the pools, so that was always entertaining to them.

RE: Kids in Vegas

There really is a lot for kids in Vegas. Some shows are appropriate for kids, like the one at excalibur. There are arcades in a lot of the casinos that you can let your kids play at while you gamble if they are old enough to stay alone. There are also lots of shopping areas and restaurants that are kid-friendly. They even have the tiger and lion exhibit outside one hotel, plus they have a lot of other animals on display.

RE: Kids in Vegas

Initially I also thought Vegas was just out of bounds for kids. I guess that's the impression that is pushed in th media, but they really have some nice activities for children. You just need to do your research--it's not all kid friendly, but you will find places.

RE: Kids in Vegas

Wow, I never knew that there were places for kids to go as well. Apparently its such a big deal that even none fans visit, for the restaurants, and all the things to see and do there. And of course people marry there too.

RE: Kids in Vegas

Chocolate Factory Tour?
