Sometimes I want to actually be part of the action, see the people, get free soda, smell the smells. Okay, maybe not to smell the smells. There's nothing like being there in person. Online casinos are great but when I want to get out, nothing beats the real thing.

RE: Why Go?

I can definitely understand the advantage of being able to see the people that you are gambling with. The social side of it is not of interest to me, I kind of like my hermit lifestyle. But maybe I shall check one out some time if only to see what I am missing.

RE: Why Go?

For me, people is only one of the things you are missing out on by gambling online. There are plenty of other interesting things to see at casinos, for example some can have absolutely beautiful architecture to them! While you may not feel like you are visiting one of the wonders of the world, some of the Casinos can come close enough for me!

RE: Why Go?

It's the people. At a casino I can watch faces during poker, I get cheered when I get a great hand, The noise when the slots hit a jackpot. It all ties in together. I play online to relax before bed. I play at a casino to have a good time around others. I think it's a little like going to a bar versus having a drink at home. Sometimes you need atmosphere.

RE: Why Go?

The atmosphere is why you should go. Great company, lights, showbiz, glammer and dazzle. You can't get that kind of experience "Sofa Surfing".

RE: Why Go?

I don't do much gambling at home; I prefer the excitement of the casino, the atmosphere, the restaurants, and the real money changing hands (just makes it more exciting). To me there is so much a social aspect to gambling that is completely lost online.

RE: Why Go?

I gamble online a lot more frequently than I do in real casinos, but I still love going to them when I have the time. Online casinos are more convenient obviously, but there is this certain atmosphere and excitement in real casinos that simply cannot be matched by playing online. To understand you would probably have to visit one yourself sometime.

RE: Why Go?

Well personally I tend to never continue relationships that start in the UK. If I meet someone in a casino then I do not socialise with them outside of it, or ever have contact with them outside so meeting people isn't a part of it.

But the atmosphere is. It's a wonderful night out-totally electric, and alive!

RE: Why Go?

Going in person to a casino to gamble is definitely more exciting than sitting at home in your fuzzy bunny slippers and PJs clicking a button. The entire production is more fun at a casino and well worth the trip if you have the chance even if you only play the penny slots.

RE: Why Go?

I love going to the casinos whenever I can. I find I meet a lot of interesting people that way. I have several friends that I met this way. We keep in touch regularly and meet at least once a year to hangout for the weekend, at least. The people are half the fun of going to casinos versus online gambling for me.

RE: Why Go?

That is true. I love to play craps and blackjack, and it can get real exciting. Plus you get the free drinks, and then there are the comps. Can you get dinner, room and a show for free from an online casino?

RE: Why Go?

Oh, man, it's just plain exciting! Gambling online is all right but nothing beats the crowd cheering you on when you hit blackjack. It just adds an extra degree of excitement and fun.

Why Go?

As my username should suggest, I am not a big fan of leaving my house to gamble. In fact, I have never set foot in a real casino in my life-all my gaming is done online and very rarely at a friend's house if we have a poker night. There seems no real incentive to go out to gamble.

Why is it that you go, if that is your choice?
