The cultures are different, and many Brits would feel the opposite of what you do.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;What happens then if you are, say out for a walk without ID? Could you be carded in the street by a cop? What would the consequence be of not having ID on you?&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Also not all countries currently require photo ID of everyone. I suggest getting a state ID card if you don't have a driver's license.
