The service tends to be better and more personal, I've found. Plus they tend not to be as overpacked with people as some of the glitzier casinos can be.

RE: Going to Reno!

The Peppermill is about 2 miles south of downtown. So if you like to go to lots of different casinos it probably isn't a great choice. However, if you get a player's card they give you some nice room rates, and the casino hosts are nicer than most to the small players.

RE: Going to Reno!

I have never been to Reno yet and really want to go. Is the Peppermill a big place or one of the smaller ones? I'm not much for lots of people but it sounds like they treat their customers right. I may have to look into it for next year.
RE: Going to Reno!

Glad to see you had fun there! I am also equally glad to see you didn't break the bank while you were there! How much did you "win"?

RE: Going to Reno!

Had a good time in Reno, didn't lose too much money!:D I also barely recognized the Peppermill. They have done quite a few renovations.
I was happy to see a $3 craps table. I played for a few hours and only lost $20.

RE: Going to Reno!

I went to Reno last year around the Holidays and I must say.. I wasn't impressed with the slots where I went. I stayed at Harrahs and did OK there.. I did OK at another Casino alittle ways down the strip but Three others took everything as fast as I could put it in. I will say the steak I had at Harrahs steakhouse was ridiculously good. Tell me more about the Peppermill.. I never left downtown..

RE: Going to Reno!

I'd like to head to Nevada someday, but will probably go to Vegas.
