This way they get a chance to at least get a player or two and/or possibly some decent draft picks. Why let him just walk away and turn his back on the team he played all of those years with? If I were a team shopping for a QB I'd pass him up. I wonder why it is that all of a sudden he has the "drive to play" back?

RE: Brett Favre wants a different team!

It does seem to be a rather immature game they are playing. One day he wants to quit, then he doesn't then he wants a different team. What does he expect the Packer's coaches to do, play tiddlywinks until he decides and hope its before the first game? I think they should go ahead with bringing him back but "not as a starter" as they have said.

RE: Brett Favre wants a different team!

Well.. Brett may want his papers but according to Ted Thompson.. He ain't getting em. The Packers have officially declined to allow Brett to enter Free Agency. They have said that they will welcome him back but, most likely not as the starter.

RE: Brett Favre wants a different team!

I say let him go. Brett is the big man but he's not bigger than the game or the organisation, for that matter. I think the Packers need to look at the bigger picture and start honing new talent

Brett Favre wants a different team!

Brett Favre has been discussing with the Packers a return to football this fall. Apparently they aren't too thrilled with the idea. So he is now seeking to get out of his contract so he can play for a different team. What are your thoughts about this new development?
