Isnt a great deal of this hand and mind corrdination? Sometimes I can play but not as well as some others I have seen. I do not have the hand movement I used to have as a kid (I guess too much typing on the keyboard).

I am thinking of getting a WWI. Anyone have one or played before? I was wondering if its worth the price pending of course I can get my hands on one.

I can definitely relate. I wager that I am probably the least coordinated person alive. I am so uncoordinated that I would consider the bet a sure thing.:)

I think console games could be considered skill-based games. Even though they may simply require the pushing of buttons, the coordination needed to push those buttons in the right order at just the right time could be considered a skill. A skill I don't possess, by the way.:D

I take it then that only the "grown up" games count as being skilled games? Thats what it sounds like here a good deal. I really do not know though as I have seen some people get the hang of colsole games before but not all.

Hey, I've had bets in the past on Tetris! Not exactly the most exciting computer game, but then its the only one that I am able to play!

I am not sure if this counts or not but it takes some skill and while its not a console game I did play it on my TV. It was some game similar to brick breaker (which is on cell phones alot now) but this came free under some guide of our dish networks when we ordered it.

I think anything that takes more skill than dumb luck could be called a skill-based game. I agree that poker should be labeled as a skill-based game but I think some of the console games should qualify as well - particularly strategy or puzzle games that involve actually using your brain.

I do think some console games take a lot of skill to play, but I would not call them "skill-based games". that I reserve for games that take actual skill, such as snooker, pool, bowling, etc. Not learning to push buttons and navigate a program.

I think a skill based gambling game would be poker. Sure, there is some luck involved but there is much more skill to it than most people think. I think when you play any electronic version most of the skill is removed and only luck remains.

Are these one that would be listed as a skill game? I know some people that can play them and others who cant. Its just not something of their style. Same thing goes with games on the cell phones, I can play poker on it, is it the same?
