| I know a lot of gamblers who are getting addicted on it. They feel incomplete without going to the casino or playing online. How do you guys overcome this addiction?

| I have never gotten addicted to gambling but some of my buddies have admitted to being addicted. They say that support groups have helped them a lot as well as having family and friends rooting for them

| I have not experienced this problem but it's pretty easy to see why it would happen. The high that one gets with a win is nice, and yes I can see people chasing that.

| I am by no means addicted to gambling, but I do know that they have gamblers anonymous or something like that if you would like to take that approach.

| I simply set myself a certain limit that I am allowed spend and ensure I don't go over that limit. It takes will-power (which I didn't have until I started to lose money gambling) but it works if you're serious about sticking to your limit.

| What's wrong with good old-fashioned willpower? People are too weak and lazy these days, that's why people are overweight with too many credit cards and smoking habits and all sorts. All good things in moderation - including gambling - but people don't seem to follow that rule anymore.

| I agree with TomBull, it's all about will-power and being able to set limits for yourself. If you do know someone who is addicted, many addiction clinic would try to help them.

Not everyone who is overweight or gambles themselves into debt just need to have more will power. People do sometimes just have addictive personalities, and it is hereditary, not just random. Which means no amount of "will power" can fix the problem, it needs to be taken much more seriously.
As for myself I set a limit and don't bring more than that with me. I bring cash in and the rest stays locked in the car or the hotel safe.
