Yes that is a classic goal, no one can argue with that. He should attempt the same goal when he gets his 100th cap. Now THAT would cement his status as a legend!!

Much more importantly... what kind of haircut will we have for the 100th cap?  Oooh I hope it's them braids again, they always look so good on white guys from East London.

On a serious note I hope he gets his 100th cap so we can all say thanks for being a great ambassador but please can you now use your time to stop Victoria from talking such BS and ruining your well earned reputation.

A legend? Well I don't know about that - he's good, mebbe great at a stretch but I don't know that he falls in the bracket of legendary as yet.  He hasn't done much lately, on or off the ball, to live up to the hype

Truly a great shot indeed! But Beckham has not been on the spotlight very recently. Quite a pity, would have liked to see his kicks again.

I think he is a legend and will always remain one. Maybe because our eyes move onto new players we often forget the older.

Got to give the guy his props.  Beckham is VERY good, but a Pele or Maradona, he's not.  Still he inspired a lot of people to pay attention to the game and he brought more than a measure of style and class to the sport.

He's good, but I don't think he'll be a soccer legend. For instance, here in the U.S. he's more known for being a hot guy with a hot wife.
