Anyone have any favorites? I want somewhere that will be fairly cheap, but close enough that we won't have to walk far to the casinos. Are there any decently priced rooms on the strip?

To be on the Strip - Excalibur might be your best bet because it's right near MGM, Mandalay, Luxor, NY NY etc.  It's an okay hotel - nothing fancy - one of the older ones on the Strip, but hey, it's on the Strip.  There's Imperial Palace - next to Harrahs - but I'd even put Imperial Palace below Excalibur.

What kind of price range do you want to be in?

Excalibur is a nice hotel, decently priced and right there on the strip. If you have children with you that's the best place to stay too. It's nothing fancy, and it is a long walk to the other end of the strip, but I'd recommend it.
