| To last the full length of a tournament you need to make the chips or money that you have last for that period of time. So how do you decide to fold on a hand, or other wise decide that a particular round is not working for you and so get out to minimise losses?

| I usually decide to fold when I don't have more then one pair in poker tournaments, and I also bet in small increments.

| I usually fold when I give up on the chance that I will have a good hand. I also try not to bet too big when I am playing poker that way if I lose, at least it isn't much money

| I'm not big on pairs, they're too easy to get. I am more conservative and will often dump a pair, unless it's high. Maybe that's why I don't last very long LOL.

| I normally set acceptable limits for myself unless my hand is really good. These assume a minimum number of hands as well as some wins and losses with some margin. I play pretty conservatively so it works well for me.
