I don't feel that Shaq is at the top of his game.  Can he really help the Suns play any better than they are playing now? I just don't see how this trade makes any sense.

Shaq is old and busted!! Very disappointed to read this, I'm a big Suns fan. I can't believe that the Matrix is no longer a Sun. We need a big man but Shaq is 36 and just can't cut it anymore. Where are we going to get Marion's 15 points as well??

I don't know where we are going to get Marion's points from and yes Shaq is old and busted.  I don't see this helping the Suns at all. I guess we will have to see how this all plays out but it doesn't look good for the Suns.

Kerr rolled the dice. I'm not passing judgment at this point. I think he'll get hung for it but if Shaq does get healthy enough to play with this team and that's a big if it could be interesting.

I wouldn't count the Shaq out quite yet. He might be just what is needed, lets reserve judgement for awhile, give the old man some room.

I agree. He could just not be trying as much back when he was in the Heat...maybe he just wanted out of there. I forget who it was back in baseball, I think it was Delgado, but once he got out of Toronto he started doing a lot better.

But a lot of his fans were upset with this and thought it was pointless, and I think he lost a lot because of the trade - but personally I'm not a "fan" of him anyways.

O'Neal has been to the NBA Finals with 3 different teams, Orlando, Los Angeles and Miami. His winning presence will rub off on the other players. But what if it comes down to a game 7 against New Orleans or San Antonio and O'Neal misses his free throws?

Good point, I hadn't even thought of this. This trade keeps getting worse!! Still, the point about Shaq having lots of playoff experience is certainly true so here's hoping that I'm forced to eat my words come playoff time!
