Have you ever had a slot machine malfunction on you and rip you off? I haven't had this happen to me, but I think that it would be the worst to find out that you won even just a small amount of money, and then you get nothing. Or if you were to put coins in and it just eats your money.

Yes, I have experienced both situations. In some cases the slot owner (or renter in this case) simply took my details and contacted the company, turning the machine off. It was confirmed by the company and I got my money back.

Other times, pubs mostly, refunded on the spot, from the till.

Nothing like that has ever happened to me, unless you count the old slot machine my grandpa has in his living room that took a dime for me and then broke down. Nothing serious though.

I haven't experienced it either. But if ever it will happen to me I would be happy if the company will offer me a rebate.

I remember putting my money in a machine that was just sitting by itself in a lobby. The machine ate my money--no game, no return.

I was told the person who could deal with it would not be in until morning. It was only a quarter, and required too much effort to retrieve. But I've learn't--no more lonely lobby machines!

Fortunately this has never been an issue for me. If something like this did happen to me, however, I would love to get a refund. I guess it wouldn't bother me too much if it was just a quarter or something though.

Only once in a pub however we all know what the pub slot machines are like. I simply told the manager and he refunded me straight away out of the till. He was a friend of mine however and I hate to think it would have caused an argument if he hadn't. In the end, someone is liable for it.

Why do you think that pub slots are worse than those found in casinos? Generally they both are exposed to people drinking at them, and they are treated the same.
