| I'm a truck driver and I play slot machines everywhere I find one. I spend just about all my money playing them. Sometimes I wonder what causes a person to keep playing when they know all they are going to do is lose again. I don't even understand it myself.

While that is a good answer, it might not be the cause for the first person that posted this.  Sometimes we get into rituals, I figure that is why you cant go past one, esp. a new one without trying it out. As for spending more than you should, is addictive but be careful with the price of gas now its best to not go around blowing all your money.

I think the reason why people can't get enough of slot machine is because of it pretty look.  I love to play those who have attractive designs.
