One of our boxers here is undergoing training for his rematch with one of his boxing opponents. I just want to know what is their purpose in asking for a rematch. Is there any boxing enthusiast right there that can answer my question?

| I think its got to do with performance on the night. These guys spend months training for a fight and sometimes come fight night, they just dont deliver. Look at Hatton vs Mayweather...they both trained for months but Hatton lost. It might be mental state or something else. Personally I dont think a rematch should take place is someone got whipped. If it was a close fight then by all means go ahead

| Maybe the reason why they are asking for a rematch is due to an unexpected performance during the fight. Especially if they are both prepared for the said event and they can't accept the result.
