| Does it bother you if you play with others who speak another language...and can speak to another player in that language, but you don't understand it?

It can sometimes. I mean I am not at all racist, but you have to admit when someone is speaking with one or several other individuals and looking at you its a bit unnerving. Harassment suits have been won over such things. However I find speaking Pig Latin in return can work against that type of thing. They may be able to speak English as well, but probably not Pig Latin.

| That's hilarious. I hadn't thought of speaking Pig Latin for any such situation. Do you think it counts for sign language? What if someone needs an interpreter for any language? This is a bummer conversation...I haven't thought of any of this before...especially when I don't really think about people cheating and don't cheat myself. Just because others speak another language I can't automatically assume they're taking advantage. If myself and a friend were the only ones who spoke English at a table where all spoke Spanish or Chinese, etc, am I to assume they must accomodate my language? A bit self-centered.

Not knowing the language can be a bit intimidating. If the conversation seems light, it's not an issue. But if they seem they're actually speaking about me, or sharing secrets about the game, then I would get really concerned!

| I would not be concerned or bothered if I knew that it was because their English was not good enough. But if they spoke English, and were just using it to cheat then you bet I would be rattled.

| I'm all for people speaking in their native languages, but I admit, if I was at a table with a couple people speaking in a different language, I'd be wondering if they were sharing secrets about the game.

| When this happens, I usually look at the gestures of the players if they are sharing secrets about the game. A grin is a sign that they have something. But a normal conversation with a laugh or a smile is ok. But I also admit that it raises some doubts on my part about the players who speaks different language other than mine.

| Unless they were pointing their finger at me, grinning and having an evil laugher I think I could just deal with it. I might find it a little odd, but I'm sure they could think the same of me too.
