No, the nearest is some distance away-probably an hour drive. It's ok like that-the city that has it is set up for it. They have the traffic system in place, and there are other facilities around that serve it well. We just couldn't support that.

We have a casino about 25 miles away. When we lived downstate, it used to take 2 1/2 hours to get to the same one. There was something different about it when it took longer to get there. I guess it was the planning of the trip and the anticipation of going that made the difference. Once we moved and the fascination wore off, it doesn't seem as exciting as it once was. I still like going, it's just a little different.

Wow!  Four hours is a long drive.  There are 3 casinos within an hours drive of my quiet little town.  Two of them are on indian reservations.  I do suppose they increase crime, but they are all very well staffed with security and I've never witnessed any criminal activity.  I feel rather safe when I'm there.  I'm still glad they aren't next door to my home.

No where in my town is anything more than maybe a bar machine if that. I think the closest one is about four hours away and that is fine by me. I like living in the quiet areas.

There are several locations with casinos in our area that you can get to in about two hours or less.

I do like to have the option of going for a few hours without having to book a flight or take a much longer car ride.

There are no casinos in my city but there are some small stakes casinos in the mountains, with the closest being about a 45 minute drive from my home. Some of the casinos actually provid bus service for those who are afraid to drive in the mountains!
