| I know in the UK (i think) soccer is called football, have you ever gotten the two mixed up? I have, on these very forums!

Well if I know who I'm talking to, then I usually know which one their talking about (A lot of my MSN people are from around Europe) so it's obvious.
But here we still call it Soccer...so whichever really.
As soon as someone mentions Machester U. then I know exactly what sport their talking about with "football".

In Europe generally and those countries which were colonialised by the British, the game is called football or soccer interchangeably. I think it's only in the US and maybe Canada, that the game which looks more like rugby is called football. That's where the confusion is as soccer is gaining popularity on the continent and American football is growing in the UK.

| Its only confused when a friend of mine and I talk about it online, if we are on the phone we can tell what the other means right off the bat, but online its harder to do.
