Even though I have been here for a while, I never did get around to making a formal introduction yet. As a result, let me get it out of the way now! I have been playing and loving most games associated with Gambling since I was a child, so it was only natural that I would get into gambling a bit when I was older! That's what happened, and I am still staying strong years later! I live on the Eastcoast of the United States, and have visited most of the major casinos around the country. While I have never worked in a casino in any capacity, I am hoping to get my chance eventually. These days I spend more time gambling online, but I still visit "real" casinos pretty often as well! I am planning to stick around here for a while, so I am sure you will all get to know me better

Fever, what were your favorite games as a kid?

Slow machines first got me into gambling. They're just so fun! Shiny! Maybe it's a girl thing.

I didn't get into the card game side of it until recently. My brothers always have poker nights, and I started feeling left out, so I decided to join in. I always knew how to play poker and blackjack (thanks to hand held games as a kid), but I'd never played for money before.

At first it was totally scary, because I tend to play it safe when it comes to coinage. I rationalized it, though, by consider it paying for my entertainment, like I would at a movie or an amusement park. That helped me really let go and take risks. Usually, I lose money (I'm not very good), but it's always an added bonus when I walk away from the table with bonus money in my pocket (which I always end up spending on shoes, whoops).

I remember a friend of my mothers that owned a small bar/pub in our town and there was a slot machine there. This many moons ago when it wasnt entirely forbidden to have one in a non casino standing place. Shiny is good.

As a kid, I was always fascinated with slot machines as well as all the various card, games especially poker. To this day, I find few things quite as enjoyable as a nice game of poker, with or without real money being involved. As a kid I remember asking my Uncle something or other about Poker, and he explained how poker was often played with real money instead of chips.
